Nikos Papantonopoulos

Born in Thessaloniki, Nikos has followed a diverse and multilateral academic path. He first gained a Bachelor’s Degree in Balkan, Slavic, and Oriental Studies from University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, and then studied Law at Democritus University of Thrace. After graduating from his LLB studies and launching his legal professional career, Nikos focused his academic pursuits in the field of Criminal Law. Specifically, he gained his Postgraduate degree (LLM) in Criminal Law and is currently following doctoral studies in the same field.

Nikos provides regular GDPR compliance advice to high-level executives on different policies and their applicability and has conducted numerous training sessions for company employees on GDPR and regulatory compliance. He has created material and training programs to educate staff members on GDPR compliance standards, contributed to privacy and commercial law awareness, monitored and reported developments at domestic and European level. He also handles white collar criminal cases, such as complex fraud cases, tax offences, money-laundering, corruption, capital markets and criminal liability of companies’ directors etc., before criminal courts.
